Agency Terms and Condition

For taking the agency of Books / Journals / CDs of the Publications Division the following are agency terms.

Books will be supplied if available in stock.
India	Trade Terms in India for Books / Journals/ CDs
1	The Division bears the postal charges for the books ordered for by post . In case, the order is for Rs. 100 or more, these will be sent by Registered Post. Otherwise, the books will be dispatched by Book Post. If the party wants books costing less than 100 to be delivered by registered post, it will have to bear the registration charges.
2	Educational institutions and public libraries are given a discount of 10%. Subscribers of the journals published by the Division, except Employment News/ Rozgar Samachar, are also entitled to a discount of 10 % on the purchase of publications costing Rs. 25 or more at a time. Subscribers of the Journals should invariably quote their subscription number for availing themselves of this discount.
3	Orders are executed against prepayment only. Payment may be made preferably by way of crossed Indian Postal Order/ Bank Draft/ Money order drawn in favour of the Publications Division, payable at New Delhi.
4	While placing orders, the name and address of the purchaser may kindly be given in block letters. The name and language of the publications , the name of the nearest post office/ railway station with district headquarters and the name of the state may also be given clearly.
5	A discount of 25% is allowed to retail agents on the published rupee price.
6	Wholesale agents will be given 33 1/3% (33.33%) discount if they achieve a gross sale of Rs. 12000 per year. In case, the gross sale go upto Rs. 2 lakh or more per year, an additional discount of 6% will be allowed.
7	Wholesale/retail agency application forms are attached

Abroad	A discount of 33.33 % is allowed to Agents on the published rupee price.
*	Postage/freight charges by sea/air to be borne by the purchaser/agent as per the rates given below: Postage charges for all countries

*	Publications are made available strictly against advance payment. Payment in U.S. Dollar equivalent to Indian Rupee are accepted.
*	Import licence, if any, required in the concerned country will have to be obtained in advance.
*	The Division will have no objection to refixation of the price in conformity with the trade practices in the country where the books are sold.
*	Supplies are sent by surface mail unless otherwise asked for specifically.
Note:	Special terms depending upon the volume of business can be offered to interested parties. These are negotiable in mutual interest.
